Welcome to Darwinism’s, a blog showcasing my thoughts and feelings about travel, creativity, dogs and this, that and the other. Sorry evolution or creation enthusiasts, this isn’t a site about Charles Darwin. My name just happens to be Chad Darwin and Darwinism’s will be a collection of posts on various topics that interest me. This blog will be in constant evolution and will surely find its place in this world, much like me.
Just to clarify, check out the following definition of Darwinism to gain some perspective:
Darwinism is a set of movements and concepts related to ideas of transmutation of species or of evolution, including some ideas with no connection to the work of Charles Darwin The meaning of “Darwinism” has changed over time, and varies depending on who is using the term. In the United States, the term “Darwinism” is often used by creationists as a pejorative term in reference to beliefs such as atheistic naturalism, but in the United Kingdom the term has no negative connotations, being freely used as a short hand for the body of theory dealing with evolution, and in particular, evolution by natural selection.
To set the record straight, I have learned I’m actually related to Charles Darwin in a very very very distant way (he is basically a 28th cousin or something – thanks to much work on an Ancestry family tree). I’m a spiritual guy who does believe in God…I also lean to towards the theory of evolution as well. OK, just had to get that out of the way.
I hope you’ll stick around and find what I have to say useful, funny and enlightening. I would like nothing more than to use my humor and passion to educate and entertain you.
A smidge more about me:
I moved to sunny California from sunny Florida in the futuristic year 2000. I then moved to my current home in Dallas, TX in January of 2014. I’m a PR guy for JCPenney (opinions are my own). I’m a fickle Virgo with the same birthday as Mike Piazza, Beyonce Knowles, Wes Bentley, Ione Skye, Damon Wayans, Mitzi Gaynor, and Dr. Drew…AND are you ready for this…former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Adrienne Maloof! I love my family back east in FL…and my family here (my dawgs Eli and Aubry)…love to travel and eat, yes eating food is a good thing. I started a blog to be able to share all my photos/experiences with travel, my dogs and life in general.
